HPV vaccination campaign
Communication, activation
Human papillomavirus (HPV) is associated with 1 in 20 of all cancers worldwide. From an HPV infection you can get cancer of the genitals, cervix or in the mouth and pharynx.
Most of the time, cancer from HPV can be prevented through access to vaccines and cervical cancer screening programs. But the vaccination rate in the Netherlands remains at 63 percent, while the WHO recommends 90 percent.
In 2022 and 2023, all 12-18 year olds in the Netherlands who have not yet been vaccinated will therefore receive a call to protect themselves against HPV cancer. And through a 'catch-up campaign', young people aged 18 to 26 are also being called upon to be vaccinated.
Part of the catch-up campaign are the three Dutch language radio infomercials below that TransCity has developed in collaboration with FunX. These three infomercials can be heard as of September 2022.
