Make-A-Wish Netherlands

Communication, resarch

Realizing a dearest wish gives young patients and their environment strength and confidence again; it has lasting impact. Being part of an unforgettable Wish Journey gives the child a positive boost. In this way, children and the people around them find new strength to face the future stronger.

Wish fulfillment does not happen by itself. It is a carefully planned Wish Journey. A special process that takes a large group of people months to complete and that is tailor-made from A to Z. And that has an impact from the moment of getting acquainted until long after the wish has been fulfilled.

Make-A-Wish Netherlands does everything in its power to fulfill as many wishes as possible. Together with volunteers, parents, hospitals and business partners, everything is done to fulfill the wishes of children with a serious, sometimes even life-threatening illness.

Commissioned by Make-A-Wish Netherlands, TransCity and Dreamers Inc. started a process to build a bond between the (activities of) the organization and bicultural parents and their children. The primary objective is to fulfill more dreams of bicultural children.

First, TransCity and Dreamers Inc. conducted research: single interviews with bicultural parents of chronically ill children. These interviews took place in the autumn of 2022. The results were converted into a campaign, the first phase of which started in the spring of 2023.

Below are the first three videos that were made, as well as two radio spots that refer to the landing page where the three videos could be seen.
